Happy Holidays from Native Hill Farm!

Hi Folks!

All of us here at Native Hill Farm are excited to get back to growing good food for our community for the upcoming 2020 season. Native Hill has always been a true community farm, with produce grown for and by the people, and it is an honor to continue to steward it into the future.

We will open our Farm Shares (CSA) on January 1st--pricing and other information are posted to our website. There won’t be too many changes to the Farm Share this season except that all members will be able to use the (hopefully new) Farm Stand to pick up in addition to the Saturday Market. We’re relying on you all to help us spread the CSA word and start the 2020 season with a strong foundation. If you are inclined to share our information with a friend or two, we’d love to welcome some new members into our farm community.

We will be able to guarantee a spot to previous seasons members until the end of January. We will send out a reminder on January 1st as well.

The farm shares might not be changing much, but 2019 has allowed us to invest in and improve our land and our farm processes. Both the home farm in Laporte and the new Montava farm have had an organic matter boost from some amazing cover cropping and a sweet little rest from production. We are excited to have built a new packshed barn and cold storage facilities that will allow us to be easier on our bodies and to store even more veggies for the winter months. The Montava farm should come online for the 2021 season.

As we move into 2020, Katie will be stepping back from the day-to-day farm management to manage some health issues. We appreciate all the care and understanding this community offers us as we negotiate these changes on our farm and in our lives, which are, of course, deeply intertwined.

We are so looking forward to growing your food, seeing you all, and getting some seeds planted in the New Year!

Warmly,

Nic, Katie,Henry and The Native Hill Team
